Community Rules
Informational translation. The legally binding version is the Spanish original, available at /legal/normas.html. In case of discrepancy, the Spanish version shall prevail.
1. Purpose
ULOX is a space for private communication and personal encrypted storage. The privacy and freedom of communication of users are only sustainable if the Service is not used as a refuge for illegal or harmful conduct. These Rules exist to set out, without ambiguity, what is allowed and what is not.
These Rules form an integral part of the Terms and Conditions of Use and apply to all users, without exception, in all universes of the Service (base ULOX, Shared LOX and Private LOX).
2. Absolutely prohibited conduct
The following conduct constitutes grounds for immediate cancellation of the account, without right to prior notice or reactivation, and, where appropriate, shall give rise to a complaint to the competent authorities and provision of available data under legal request.
2.1. Harm to minors
- Producing, storing, distributing, sharing, soliciting, consuming or promoting child sexual abuse material (CSAM), whether photographic, audiovisual, illustrated, drawn or artificially generated.
- Grooming, recruitment, manipulation or approach for sexual purposes to minors.
- Dissemination of location, identification or exposure information of minors with any harmful intent.
2.2. Sexual content
- Pornography and sexually explicit material in any format and for any purpose. ULOX is not a platform for adult content and expressly prohibits its use for such purposes, even between adults and with mutual consent.
- Non-consensual dissemination of intimate, sexual or nude images (revenge porn), even when the persons depicted are adults.
- Sexual extortion (sextortion) and any conduct of coercion through intimate content.
- Solicitation, exchange or trade of sexual services.
2.3. Violence, threats and harassment
- Threats of death, injury, kidnapping, physical, psychological or property damage.
- Harassment, stalking, cyberbullying, continued pursuit.
- Doxxing: disclosure of identification data, location, workplace or sensitive information of persons without their consent, with harmful intent or to incite their persecution.
- Incitement to violence, hatred, genocide or discrimination based on origin, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, age or any other personal or social circumstance.
- Apology, glorification, financing, planning or coordination of terrorist acts or violent extremism.
- Self-harm or suicide content that may induce, instruct or glorify self-harm.
2.4. Illegal trafficking
- Trafficking, distribution or sale of illegal drugs, controlled substances or restricted medicines without a valid prescription.
- Trafficking, distribution or sale of firearms, bladed weapons, explosives, ammunition or similar materials outside legally authorised channels.
- Human trafficking, forced prostitution, slavery, organised begging.
- Trade in stolen cultural goods, protected species, human organs or any other illegal goods.
2.5. Cybercrime and fraud
- Distribution of malware, ransomware, spyware, exploit kits, intrusion tools and any code intended to compromise systems or data of others.
- Trade in stolen credentials, leaked databases, card numbers, stolen digital identities.
- Scams, financial fraud, phishing, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, identity theft.
- Money laundering, terrorist financing, organised tax evasion.
- Coordination of attacks (DoS, DDoS) against third parties or against ULOX itself.
2.6. Intellectual property
- Massive distribution of protected works (films, music, software, books, etc.) without the rights holder's licence.
- Trade in stolen licence keys, pirated software and the like.
- Use of the ULOX trademark or similar signs to create confusion, impersonation or apparent affiliation.
2.7. Abuse of the service
- Mass creation of accounts for abusive purposes (multi-accounting to evade sanctions, coordinated spam, etc.).
- Use of bots, unauthorised automation, aggressive scraping or reverse engineering with malicious purposes.
- Attempts to bypass technical security, encryption, authentication or Service restrictions.
- Use of the Service to host or distribute content via URLs, redirects or references to material prohibited by these Rules.
2.8. Closing clause
Any use of the Service that infringes applicable law in any of the jurisdictions from which the user accesses or that affects persons in those jurisdictions is prohibited. The above enumeration is indicative and not exhaustive; ITRION reserves the reasonable appreciation of any analogous conduct.
3. User responsibility
The user is fully responsible for:
- All Contents they create, store, share or transmit through the Service.
- Contents received from third parties with whom the user shares their LOX, contacts or groups.
- Use that third parties make of their account when this has occurred through negligent custody of their credentials.
4. How to report
If you detect a use of ULOX that infringes these Rules, you can report it in three ways:
- From the application itself: integrated reporting function (in development).
- By email:

Reports are handled in accordance with the Reports and Moderation Policy.
5. Measures we may take
Faced with a confirmed infringement (or sufficiently serious well-founded suspicion) ITRION may, under the principle of proportionality, adopt one or more of the following measures:
- Formal warning to the user.
- Restriction of specific features (sending messages, calls, creating groups, etc.).
- Temporary suspension of the account.
- Immediate and final cancellation of the account and ULOX ID.
- Deletion of data linked to the account (limited by encryption: ITRION can delete opaque storage, but cannot examine it).
- Notification to competent authorities and provision of available data under legal request.
6. Right of appeal
The user affected by a measure may appeal it by following the procedure described in the Reports and Moderation Policy, writing to abuse@ulox.org within six (6) months of notification of the measure.
